The BUG is 3!!!!!

DJ -“J Cubed” -decided to take his birthday party on the road this year.  We decided to celebrate in Minnesota following the Families of SMA annual conference instead of driving back on his birthday.

For the most part we have gotten past the “what could have been” and now live in the land of “this is great”.  Our great things are small things to others but we appreciate and cherish them beyond words.  Anything that makes Jadon’s eyes sparkle, curls the left side of his lip ever so slightly, or gets the “Happy Belly” bouncing, makes our day. Our trip to Minnesota provided many, many, things that produced these favorable results.

While we celebrated Jadon’s birthday the entire week (actually mowed the J3 in the yard before we left) the actual day was spent at The Mall of America.  That place is crazy.   Jadon was excited until he fell asleep at Build-A-Bear.  We returned to the hotel for him to take a nap but as soon as we rolled into the room…POP! the eyes were wide open.  We did his treatments, freshened up and returned to the mall.

It was a great day!  We feel so incredibly blessed to be celebrating Jadon’s third year.  It has been quite a journey.  Every day we think it’s not possible to love him more than we do today, and then tomorrow comes.

The BUG was decked out for his birthday.  He was sporting 3 tattoos, one for each year, as well as some nice blue spikes in his hair.

The next day we told Jadon he only had 364 more days until his next birthday and he better start planning his party…We are.
